We have several positions available in our group at the postdoctoral and PhD levels.
Postdoctoral positions
Postdoctoral research positions are immediately available in our research group to work at the intersection of single cell genomics and machine learning to decipher gene regulatory networks driving cell fate decisions. We are looking for two types of candidates: those interested to develop and apply methods for single cell multi-omic datasets, and those interested to apply and enhance methods for inference of cell type-specific gene regulatory networks. The methods and pipelines are expected to be broadly applicable to diverse mammalian and plant lineages. We work in close collaboration with developmental biologists and stem cell engineers at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery and UW Madison. The postdoctoral researcher will be working in close collaboration with our experimental collaborators who study a diversity of biological systems including development of the human brain and retina, cellular reprogramming and symbiosis in plants.
Applicants interested to develop methods should have a strong background and experience in developing and implementing algorithms and an interest to do research in an interdisciplinary field. Experience with genomic datasets will be considered as a plus. Typical applicants will have a PhD is computer science, statistics, data science, computational biology or a related field.
Applicants interested to apply and enhance methods should have a strong experience in the application of computational tools, development of analysis and visualization pipelines, for genomic datasets such as ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq datasets. Typical applicants will have a PhD is computer science, statistics, data science, computational biology or a related field.
To apply please email me your CV, research statement and contact information of two references.
